Why take out a pre-paid funeral plan?
An ever increasing number of people now choose to take out a pre-paid funeral plan so that they can take their time to make an informed decision as to what they would like for their funeral rather than leave it to their relatives to make the arrangements at a time of great distress. They also appreciate the fact that they can pay for their funeral at today’s prices.

An important part of that service is now the provision of fully guaranteed pre-paid funeral plans. The guarantee applies to both our charges and the essential disbursements for cremation, which are the crematorium, doctors’ and minister’s fees. This means that, if you choose a plan that includes disbursements and do not vary your requirements, there will be nothing more to pay when the funeral eventually takes place. All of our plans are very competitively priced.
What if I wish to be buried rather than cremated?
If you would like to be buried, it will only be possible if an existing grave is to be used or if a grave can be purchased for “future use”. We cannot guarantee burial disbursements, as they vary a great deal, but will allow the equivalent cost of the essential disbursements for cremation.
What are the options available?
We have four plans, offering four different options, designed to suit the requirements of most of our clients. All of our plans are flexible and you can add additional items to them, e.g. a horse-drawn hearse or additional limousines. If none of our set plans suit your needs, we can arrange a bespoke funeral plan to whatever specification you require.
Do I need to be in good health to take out a plan?
No, there is no medical and no age limit. Anyone can take out a plan.
How can I pay for my Truelove Funeral Plan?
You can pay in one lump sum or you can spread the cost over 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60 months.
Is my money safe?
Truelove Funeral Plans give you exceptional financial security for your money. The funds are transferred to Ecclesiastical Planning Services, which is part of the Ecclesiastical Insurance Group. Ecclesiastical Planning Services is a registered provider of, and regulated by, the Funeral Planning Authority and adheres to its Code of Practice and high professional standards.
Every penny of the full value of a Truelove Funeral Plan (excluding the initial management fee) is held securely in a whole of life assurance policy and ring-fenced to pay for your funeral when the time comes. Truelove Funeral Plan funds, via Ecclesiastical Planning Services, are held in guaranteed whole of life assurance policies with a UK based life assurance company that is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the PRA and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Funeral plans themselves are not regulated by the PRA or FCA but are regulated by the Funeral Planning Authority.
Can I change my mind?
Yes, you can change your mind at any time. If you choose to cancel the plan up to 30 days from the date of paying for your Truelove Funeral Plan you will receive a full refund. If you cancel the plan after 30 days, you will receive a refund of the original amount paid, excluding the management fee, which is the sum charged by Ecclesiastical Planning Services for administering the funds.
What happens if I move to a different area?
Because Ecclesiastical Planning Services works with funeral directors throughout the country, you should be able to transfer your plan to an accredited funeral director near your new home. However, there may be additional costs to pay depending on local prices. In addition, you should remember that, unlike us, not all funeral directors fully guarantee third party costs. What happens if I die away from home?
All of our plans include removing the deceased within a 25 mile radius of our premises. If you are going abroad, you should ensure that your holiday insurance includes cover for the cost of bringing you back to this country. All of our plans include removal to our chapels of rest from Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
Can I take out a Truelove Funeral Plan for someone else?
Yes, it is possible to take out a plan for a relative or friend.
What do I do now?

Select the plan that suits your needs, download and complete the Application Form and post it to us, together with your payment, either for the full amount or for the first instalment.
